Tom will be speaking about Fighting Slavery in Chicago at several events over the next few months.  Watch this space for dates, times  and locations.

On April 27, 2013, at 10:00 A.M., Tom will speak on Fighting Slavery in Chicago at Clarke House Museum's Third Annual History Symposium, Chicago in the Civil War.  The Symposium will be held in the coach house of Glessner House Museum, 1800 South Prairei Avenue, Chicago.Clarke House.
 
Also on April 27, 2013, at 3:15 P.M., Tom will speak at the Central States Numismatic Society's Civil War Seminar at the Renaissance Convention Center and Hotel in Schaumburg, IL.

On March 13, 2013, Tom spoke on "Lincoln's Racism and Lincoln's Religion - Two Aspects of Abraham Lincoln His Biographers Quake At Diiscussing," before the Lincoln Park Village Men's Group Meeting at the Chicago History Museum.

On February 7, 2010. Tom spoke to members of Lincoln Park Village, at the home of Mary Fox.

On February 4, 2010, Tom spoke to the Lawyers Club of Chicago held at the Union League Club.

On January 17, 2010, Tom spoke to the Colonial Dames at the Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, Illinois.

On November 6, 2009, Tom spoke to the members of the Chicago Club.

On September 14, 2009, Tom spoke to the Book Club of the University Club.

On June 22, 2009 at 6:00 PM, Tom spoke at the Chicago Public Library, Albany Park Branch, 5150 North Kimball Ave, Chicago, Illinois.

On June 7, 2009, Tom was a panelist at the Chicago Tribune's Lit Fest (formerly the Printers' Row Lit Fest) with  Orville Vernon Burton (author of The Age of Lincoln), David O. Stewart (author of Impeached, The Trial of  President Andrew Johnson), Eileen Mackevich (Executive Director of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission) and Gary Johnson (President of the Chicago History Museum).

On April 9, 2009, Tom spoke to the Bagatelle Club at Chef Shawn McClain’s Custom House, 500 S. Dearborn Street.
